Carl Spetzler, founder and CEO of management consulting firm Strategic Decisions Group (SDG), will deliver the opening presentation at the London Decision Quality Conference taking place in London November 5 – 6.
Dr. Spetzler will present “What is DQ and Why is it Important” at the two-day conference, organized by the London Decision Quality Group, the European Decision Professionals Network, and the Society of Decision Professionals. The multi-industry conference will be held at the Geological Society and will feature global experts sharing practical guidance on improving business decision making.
The event is structured around the six elements of decision quality, and will provide an opportunity for decision professionals to improve skills and share knowledge on various applications of decision quality in business and government.
Dr. Spetzler will share highlights from his five decades of bringing decision quality to decision makers and their organizations as he describes the “conversion experience” many professionals have when they adopt decision quality, or “DQ,” as a lens for addressing nearly every decision situation.

Dr. Spetzler and Ms. Coopersmith will additionally present a post-conference leadership course November 7, “Leading Decision Quality.” Both instructors are past presidents of the Society of Decision Professionals, and have designed this program for leaders wanting to hone their decision skills and decision professionals looking to broaden their influence. The course will cover two topics: applying decision quality to rapid, recurring, “everyday” decisions, and how to become an effective leader with decision makers who outrank you.

She consults, facilitates, and trains organizations across the globe, utilizing her extensive experience in strategy development, scenario planning, decision framing, facilitation, and value of information. She is a past president of the Society of Decision Professionals and is an SDP Fellow.
