LNG Portfolio Optimization
The executive team at a large multinational oil & gas company expressed concern about the corporation's liquified natural gas (LNG) portfolio. Management thought there could be an opportunity to increase the shareholder-value contribution from its LNG operations.
The executive team engaged SDG to optimize the LNG portfolio and in the process uncovered a tremendous opportunity to create additional value from the business. Working with the executive team, functional leaders, and asset team leaders, SDG designed a comprehensive appraisal and development strategy that fully accounts for supply chain risks such as production, development, and natural gas price.
The resulting development and marketing strategy was a significant departure from the company's momentum plans, and was expected to generate substantial additional value from the LNG portfolio.
