The CEO and CFO of a East Coast utility wanted to focus all business-planning efforts on shareholder value creation. Working with SDG, the team integrated financial forecasting, planning, and risk management activities into a single approach that provided a clear line of sight from major business and corporate decisions to their impact on shareholder value. The process identified major uncertainties and their potential impact on future performance and stock price, allowing management to take appropriate action.

The approach and underlying models were used to create a common understanding among corporate executives. The integrated process is now the basis for all decisions related to annual planning, budgeting, and risk management throughout the organization.
