One of the world’s largest power and gas companies had developed a complex and rapidly expanding business portfolio with a broad range of business risks and uncertainty affecting financial performance. SDG worked with the client to develop a means to identify risk in the annual financial performance in each of its businesses. We also created a means to forecast the corporate financial performance in earnings, cash flow and capital requirements.

This work clearly identified major risks the company faced in today’s rapidly changing environment, such as merchant energy risks. It also enabled the company to take decisive actions that led to the redesign of its business portfolio and improved its ability to better protect business and corporate shareholder value.
