Job Descriptions

SDG has concluded its Fall 2010 recruiting program. Please feel free to check back again periodically.

Typically, a career at SDG begins with the position of consultant or business analyst.

As consultants, MBAs or people with graduate degrees in other disciplines are active contributors on international consulting projects. With more project leadership responsibilities and industry or functional expertise, they advance to senior consultant, senior engagement manager, and then become candidates for the partnership.

"I was attracted to SDG because of its technically-oriented, decision-theoretic approach to solving problems. What made me join were SDG's values and the kinds of client engagements we're awarded."

–Consultant, Palo Alto
PhD Electrical Engineering
North Carolina State University

As SDG business analysts, BA/BS holders find outstanding growth opportunities while they support consulting projects for two to three years before graduate school.

Regardless of position, SDGers enjoy a unique working and learning environment, as we:

  • Work with clients, not simply for them
  • Know that our individual responsibility and judgment — rather than company policies — are trusted to guide work decisions and actions
  • Value diversity
  • Contribute to "building the house we want to live in"
  • Support personal-professional balance while maintaining sound business practices and maximizing client service.
