David Barker
David Barker is a management consultant with 27 years of experience in strategic, organizational, and commercial planning in the energy industry.
Léonard Bertrand
Léonard Bertrand, a principal, is a leader in the application of advanced methods to portfolio strategy and management, business strategy development, and strategy implementation.
J. Eric Bickel
J. Eric Bickel is an assistant professor at the University of Texas, Austin, serving in both the Operations Research and Industrial Engineering Group, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering. He is a fellow in the Center for International Energy and Environmental Policy at the Center for Petroleum Asset Risk Management.
Dan Cornew
Dan Cornew manages the North American Strategy Practice of SDG and he is a frequent contributor to the Energy and Environment Practice. He has experience in strategy and finance in energy, technology, manufacturing, and consumer products.
James Lang
James Lang, a principal consultant in the Oil & Gas Practice, is the former president and COO of both Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) and Strategic Decisions Group. He currently consults with SDG for leading oil & gas companies globally, is an active private investor, and serves on numerous boards of early stage companies, many in the energy space.
John Lehman
Mr. Lehman, a principal consultant and member of the SDG-Galway Energy Strategy Practice in Houston, has applied multidisciplinary techniques for properly considering risk in organizational decision-making for more than 20 years.
Jennifer Meyer
Dr. Meyer has more than 20 years of experience as an educator and strategy consultant.
Gene Oatman
Gene Oatman i s a principal consultant with SDG. He has extensive experience in all aspects of utility strategic planning, change, and implementation, including the application of SDG’s portfolio strategy and management methodology to the industry.
Naoki Shimoda
Naoki Shimoda leads the Energy & Environment Practice at SDG. He has extensive experience in strategy development for electric power and gas utilities. In addition, Mr. Shimoda has experience in R&D strategy, portfolio evaluation, and business strategy development in a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical, oil and gas, electronics, and automotive.
Girish Shirodkar
Girish Shirodkar, a partner, leads the Infrastructure and Resources Practices at SDG. He has broad consulting experience in various industries, including roads, airports, construction, power, urban infrastructure and mining.
Carl Spetzler

Robert D. (Bob) Stibolt's 28 years of experience in the energy industry have covered a broad range of topics ranging from economic evaluation and risk analysis for upstream oil & gas exploration and development opportunities to merchant power and LNG project development, long-dated structured energy transactions, energy trading, and risk management.
