For more than 12 years, Mr. Dann has had experience leading management teams through a facilitated, structured strategic planning process designed to build organizational alignment and to enable exceptional decision-making. His primary emphasis has been in energy and infrastructure, but he has worked in industries as diverse as utilities, telecommunications, and consumer goods.

  • Advisor to senior management on risk analysis of nuclear power plan construction
  • Experienced in restructuring, commercialization, and privatization

His work has been focused in three main areas:

  • Corporate strategic planning in Fortune 500 domestic and multinational companies, including the development of growth strategies through mergers and acquisitions and new venture creation
  • Enterprise risk management and risk analysis of large capital investments in energy and infrastructure, including cost and schedule risk analysis of nuclear power plant construction
  • Restructuring-, commercialization-, and privatization-related consulting engagements for government organizations and private companies in South America, Asia, and the Middle East.

Mr. Dann, who began his affiliation with SDG in 2004, was previously a principal at Charles River Associates and an associate director at Arthur D. Little. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He has earned a certificate in Strategic Decision and Risk Management at Stanford University’s Center for Professional Development.
