SDG Places Among Vault's 'Consulting 50'
PALO ALTO, Calif. – August 31, 2011 – Strategic Decisions Group (SDG) has placed among the 50 leading consulting firms in the world, according to Vault, a source of ratings and rankings for the consulting industry.
Vault Inc. is the leading source of information for students and job seekers considering careers in consulting, through its books and website. For its 2012 rankings, Vault surveyed more than 5,000 practicing consultants at leading consulting firms and asked them to rank firms on categories of interest to employees, including prestige, company culture, practice strength, and compensation.
"For a firm of our size to be ranked this highly among the most respected and prestigious consulting firms in the world is really a testament to our unique culture and dedication to client satisfaction," said Mary Lea Kirven, managing director for the 100-person firm. "From the outset, our firm's leaders have fostered a company culture that emphasizes collegiality and individual judgment over static policies. For 30 years, this has allowed us to attract and retain outstanding staff and foster a professional, collaborative environment where we bring the best of SDG to each and every client engagement."
In SDG's profile on its website, Vault noted that "SDG consultants are 'enormously satisfied' working at the firm, glad to sing the praises of what they consider to be one of the flattest, least hierarchical firms around."
