Strategic Decisions Group Launches New Corporate Website
New site reflects SDG’s worldwide reach; reinforces its roots in strategic decision methodology; and highlights its growing decision and risk management education program, in partnership with the Stanford Center for Professional Development.
PALO ALTO, Calif. — November 20, 2008 — International management consultancy Strategic Decisions Group has launched a newly designed website with significantly richer content.
One of the website’s goals is to augment SDG’s on-the-ground infrastructure with a global communications platform. Although two-thirds of SDG’s clients are headquartered in the United States, its strategic advisory projects have been growing even more rapidly outside of the U.S. In response, SDG has opened additional offices worldwide in the last two years, and its geographic footprint now spans North America, the Middle East, and India.
“While we’ve grown geographically, SDG’s traditional strengths in decision methodology, risk analytics, and decision education — applied to complex strategic options in both the private and public sector — are valued even more in today’s uncertain business climate than they were when we founded Strategic Decisions Group 27 years ago,” said Carl Spetzler, SDG’s chairman and CEO.
“Our partnership with Stanford extends SDG’s educational reach, as it enables us to develop strategic decision and risk management competencies in individuals and organizations throughout the world,” said Dr. Spetzler. As the website details, industry professionals can enroll in a broad offering of on-campus and online classes offered by the Strategic Decision and Risk Management (SDRM) certificate program, a joint curriculum of SDG and the Stanford Center for Professional Development.
In addition to benefiting from the new website’s improved usability and navigation, early users report a more informative and engaging experience. The site is organized around SDG’s core client services —Business Strategy, Risk Management, Portfolio Strategy, Education & Training, and Partnering & Outsourcing — as well as the 12 industry practices in which it has broad domain experience:
